School Rules & Regulations

At Vidyaniketan Academy, we believe that a structured environment with clear expectations helps students develop discipline, responsibility, and respect for themselves and others. Our rules and regulations are designed to create a safe, orderly, and conducive learning environment for all students.

1Attendance & Punctuality

Regular attendance is mandatory for all students. A minimum of 85% attendance is required to be eligible for promotion to the next class.
Students must arrive at school at least 10 minutes before the morning assembly. Late arrivals will be recorded and repeated lateness will result in disciplinary action.
In case of absence, a leave application must be submitted to the class teacher. For medical leave exceeding three days, a medical certificate must be provided.
Students are not permitted to leave the school premises during school hours without prior written permission from the Principal.

2Uniform & Appearance

Students must wear the prescribed school uniform on all school days. The uniform should be clean, well-maintained, and worn properly.
On physical education days, students must wear the prescribed sports uniform.
Students must maintain a neat and tidy appearance. Boys should have short, well-groomed hair. Girls with long hair should tie it neatly with black or navy blue hair bands.
Jewelry, makeup, and nail polish are not permitted. Students may wear a simple wristwatch.

3Behavior & Discipline

Students are expected to behave with courtesy and respect towards teachers, staff, visitors, and fellow students at all times.
Bullying, fighting, use of abusive language, and any form of harassment will not be tolerated and will result in severe disciplinary action.
Students must maintain silence in classrooms, corridors, and assembly areas. Running or playing in corridors is strictly prohibited.
Damaging school property is a serious offense. Students found responsible will be required to pay for the damage and face disciplinary action.

4Academic Responsibilities

Students must complete all assignments, projects, and homework on time.
Students must bring all required textbooks, notebooks, and stationery to school according to the timetable.
Cheating in examinations or copying assignments is a serious offense and will result in zero marks and disciplinary action.
Students must participate in all class activities, projects, and assessments.

5Electronic Devices

Mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices are not permitted in school. If found, they will be confiscated.
In case of emergency, students may use the school telephone with permission from the office.
Use of school computers and internet facilities is permitted only for educational purposes under supervision.

6Health & Safety

Students must inform the class teacher or school nurse immediately in case of illness or injury during school hours.
Students with contagious diseases must not attend school until fully recovered.
Students must follow safety instructions during laboratory sessions, physical education, and emergency drills.
Students must maintain cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, washrooms, and school premises.

7Parent Communication

Parents must check and sign the school diary daily for any communications from teachers.
Parents must attend all parent-teacher meetings to discuss their child's progress.
Any change in contact information or address must be promptly communicated to the school office.
Parents wishing to meet teachers should schedule an appointment through the school office.

Note to Parents and Students

These rules and regulations are subject to revision as needed. Any changes will be communicated to students and parents. Repeated violation of school rules may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion in severe cases. We request all students and parents to cooperate in maintaining discipline and upholding the values of Vidyaniketan Academy.
